Mobimat – ¿Who we are?

MoBiMat is a research center formed by different research groups:

• ANOPI (Análisis Numérico, Optimización y Problemas Inversos)
• GEADES (Grupo de Investigación en Estudios Ambientales para el Desarrollo Sostenible)
• GIMS (Grupo de Investigación en Modelación y Simulación)
• Programa de Vigilancia Epidemiológica del dengue en Cali

The research lines of MoBiMat are:

• Development and analysis of mathematical models describing:

               – The population dynamics of biological species

               – Interaction between biological species and food chains

               – Interaction with the environment through human activities and invasive species

               – Transmission of infectious diseases and plagues.

• Application of control theory for decision-making that seek to improve and optimize the behavior of various biological systems, bio-economic and epidemiological.
• Cost-benefit analysis and cost-effectiveness of the behavior of controlled systems.
• Numerical techniques for estimating parameters of mathematical models associated with dynamic systems.
